I was excited to be in Berlin again.
The air was crisp and my senses danced, reaching out, devouring every detail.
My feet led me with purpose down small side roads, passing chained bicycles and lamp posts decorated with daring flyers, kebab shops and small, empty parks.
This was the first time I’d explored the city properly. The streets were quiet but the subdued atmosphere was in harmony with the intermittent splashes of color and design.
The last time here, I was with someone. Things were…complicated. It was New Year, the fireworks, smoke, dark, heavy streets washed around me in silence. But now, I felt Berlin’s full attention.
