An affordable hostel that’s not too central but where I had a great experience connecting with other travelers.
I stayed in a 4 bed mixed dormitory which had a cool retro theme going on, with vintage vinyl, antique TV and guitars as decoration. There was a shared dormitory next door which looked pretty good too. No lockers however.
A kitchen connects the 2 dorm rooms and was the focal point for guests to get to know each other. I think it was because the staff didn’t organize any activities and the out-of-the-way location of the hostel that the guests bonded as they did.
Prices were around 6 euros a night through Booking.com for the 4 bed dorm. It was actually cheaper to stay for 4 nights than 3. This hostel and Moreto & Caffeto were the cheapest options I found in Sofia over the dates I was there. If I came back to Sofia, Moreto & Caffeto would probably be my preference because of the better location and that the staff were more active in organizing activities.
